According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 9.6% (sa) in September, 2009. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cumberland (12.5%), Atlantic (11.9%), and Hudson (11.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (7%), Morris (7.6%), and Somerset (7.8%).
