According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.2% (sa) in May, 2023. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cape May (7.2%), Cumberland (6.3%), and Salem (5.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (3.3%), Somerset (3.4%), and Morris (3.4%).
