According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.6% (sa) in September, 2024. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cumberland (6.2%), Salem (5.5%), and Essex (5.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (3.2%), Morris (3.4%), and Somerset (3.5%).
