According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.9% (sa) in July, 2025. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cumberland (8.6%), Salem (7.3%), and Essex (6.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (4.5%), Morris (4.7%), and Bergen (4.7%).
