According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 5.4% (sa) in February, 2002. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (22.5%), Mora (11.1%), and Grant (10%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2.5%), Union (4%), and Santa Fe (4%).
