According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 5.6% (sa) in January, 2003. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (20.4%), Mora (11.7%), and Grant (9.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2.4%), Union (3.7%), and Roosevelt (4%).
