According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 5.8% (sa) in January, 2004. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (20.2%), Mora (12.4%), and Grant (10.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2.9%), Roosevelt (4%), and Union (4.3%).
