According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 5.5% (sa) in July, 2004. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (13.7%), Mora (10.5%), and Grant (8.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (3%), Union (3.8%), and Roosevelt (4.2%).
