According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 3.8% (sa) in January, 2008. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (13.4%), Mora (9.6%), and Catron (6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2%), Lea (2.1%), and Union (2.2%).
