According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 4.2% (sa) in July, 2025. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (12%), Hidalgo (7.3%), and McKinley (7.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2.3%), Eddy (4.1%), and Lea (4.3%).
