According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 4.2% (sa) in May, 2025. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (13.3%), Sierra (6.8%), and Hidalgo (5.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (1.7%), Eddy (3%), and De Baca (3.2%).
