US Unemployment Rate By State in September, 2006

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 4.5% (sa) in September, 2006. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Michigan (7.2%), South Carolina (6.8%), and Alaska (6.5%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Hawaii (2.4%), Florida (2.5%), and Utah (2.6%).
