Population of North African Countries (1960-2018)

Between 1960 and 2018, Egypt was the most populated country in North Africa with a population of 98,423,595 in 2018. Morocco was the second most populated country in north africa between 1960 and 1985, before Algeria overtook it to become the second most populated country between 1986 and 2017. Also, Libya was the least populated country in north africa between 1960 and 2018. In 2018, the population of North African countries were as follows: Algeria (42,228,429), Sudan (41,801,533), Morocco (36,029,138), Tunisia (11,565,204), and Libya (6,678,567).
