Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the Louisiana citizen voting-age population was 3.46M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (2.14M) and constituted 61.81% of the total.

The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (1.08M) and constituted 31.14% of the total.
