Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2024, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for South Carolina was 1,303,064 and represented 25.41% of the total South Carolina citizen population.

Among all South Carolina counties, Richland had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (197.80K), followed by Charleston (95.16K), and Greenville (83.91K).
