Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 5,215,263 people in New York with Medicaid Health Insurance Coverage (i.e. 26.24% of New York population).
Among those with Medicaid health insurance coverage, 35.47% of them belonged to the Under 19 Years age group, 52.50% of them belonged to the 19 to 64 Years age group, and 12.03% of them belonged to the 65 Years and Over age group.
