Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, the Black or African American Alone population in Kentucky was 360,899 and represented 8.17% of the total Kentucky population (4,416,992).

Among Kentucky counties, Jefferson County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (164,672), followed by Fayette County (47,059), and Christian County (15,589). Robertson County had the lowest (7).
