According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone in Michigan was 36,450; and represented 0.46% of the total Michigan voting-age population.

Chippewa County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (3,880), followed by Wayne County (3,469), and Oakland County (1,771). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Keweenaw County (1), Oscoda County (30), and Missaukee County (32).
