According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone in New Mexico was 137,360; and represented 8.38% of the total New Mexico voting-age population.

McKinley County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (39,664), followed by San Juan County (34,663), and Bernalillo County (23,417). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Harding County (0), De Baca County (4), and Hidalgo County (11).
