According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in Mississippi was 799,388; and represented 35.10% of the total Mississippi voting-age population.

Hinds County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (118,958), followed by DeSoto County (39,625), and Harrison County (36,075). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Tishomingo County (361), Issaquena County (637), and Itawamba County (1,259).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Claiborne County had the highest percentage (85.59%), followed by Jefferson County (83.06%), and Holmes County (81.14%).
