According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in New Mexico was 30,778; and represented 1.88% of the total New Mexico voting-age population.

Bernalillo County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (14,267), followed by Doña Ana County (2,568), and Sandoval County (2,213). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Harding County (2), De Baca County (2), and Mora County (9).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Curry County had the highest percentage (5.44%), followed by Otero County (3.65%), and Lea County (3.64%).
