According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in New York was 2,176,551; and represented 13.53% of the total New York voting-age population.

Kings County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (584,397), followed by Bronx County (324,265), and Queens County (308,971). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Hamilton County (30), Schuyler County (60), and Lewis County (70).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Bronx County had the highest percentage (28.87%), followed by Kings County (27.30%), and Queens County (15.85%).
