According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in Virginia was 1,224,840; and represented 18.16% of the total Virginia voting-age population.

Fairfax County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (82,357), followed by Henrico County (73,710), and Norfolk city (73,068). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Highland County (2), Craig County (5), and Dickenson County (35).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Petersburg city had the highest percentage (72.57%), followed by Emporia city (61.28%), and Greensville County (57.44%).
