According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population, of people of all racial backgrounds in South Dakota who identified as hispanic or latino was 23,855; and represented 3.56% of the total South Dakota voting-age population.

Minnehaha County had the highest hispanic or latino voting-age population (7,286), followed by Pennington County (3,486), and Beadle County (1,547). On the other hand, the three counties with low hispanic or latino voting-age population were: Jones County (4), Buffalo County (10), and Potter County (14).
