According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among New York population of 20,201,249 people, 55.16% (11,143,349) identified their race as White Alone, 14.78% (2,986,172) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 10.94% (2,210,633) identified their race as Some Other Race Alone.
