According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 27,177 people in Arkansas who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 0.90% of the total population of Arkansas. Benton County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (5,093), followed by Washington County (3,573), and Sebastian County (2,890). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Woodruff County (8), Calhoun County (10), and Dallas County (17).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Sevier County had the highest percentage, with 3.02% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Crawford County (2.47%), and Sebastian County (2.26%).
