According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 30,995 people in Kansas who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 1.06% of the total population of Kansas. Sedgwick County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (6,581), followed by Douglas County (2,950), and Johnson County (2,568). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Logan County (1), Comanche County (2), and Rawlins County (3).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Brown County had the highest percentage, with 9.17% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Jackson County (9.17%), and Chautauqua County (5.59%).
