According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 12,801 people in Kentucky who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 0.28% of the total population of Kentucky. Jefferson County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (2,502), followed by Fayette County (1,105), and Hardin County (490). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Lee County (2), Lawrence County (2), and Robertson County (3).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Webster County had the highest percentage, with 0.73% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Carlisle County (0.60%), and Christian County (0.54%).
