According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 30,720 people in Ohio who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 0.26% of the total population of Ohio. Franklin County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (4,564), followed by Cuyahoga County (2,990), and Hamilton County (2,244). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Monroe County (12), Vinton County (19), and Harrison County (19).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Tuscarawas County had the highest percentage, with 1.04% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Paulding County (0.48%), and Pike County (0.43%).
