According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 332,791 people in Oklahoma who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 8.40% of the total population of Oklahoma. Tulsa County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (40,047), followed by Oklahoma County (27,075), and Cherokee County (16,271). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Cimarron County (17), Beaver County (46), and Harper County (50).
In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Adair County had the highest percentage, with 43.96% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Cherokee County (34.56%), and Latimer County (24.17%).
