According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 60,428 people in Wisconsin who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 1.02% of the total population of Wisconsin. Brown County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (7,581), followed by Milwaukee County (7,507), and Menominee County (3,643). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Florence County (30), Pepin County (38), and Iowa County (39).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Menominee County had the highest percentage, with 85.62% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Sawyer County (16.27%), and Forest County (13.38%).
