According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 15,109 people in West Virginia who identified their race as Asian Alone, which is 0.84% of the total population of West Virginia. Monongalia County had the highest number of people who identify as Asian Alone (3,755), followed by Kanawha County (2,149), and Berkeley County (1,496). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Asian Alone were: Wirt County (0), Pendleton County (0), and Tyler County (3).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Monongalia County had the highest percentage, with 3.55% of its population identifying their race as Asian Alone, followed by Jefferson County (1.45%), and Cabell County (1.43%).
