According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census for Tennessee counties, in April 2020, among all of Tennessee's cities and places (towns and villages) with a population of at least 10K, Memphis city had the highest percentage of its population that identified their race as Black or African American Alone (61.57%), followed by Jackson city (44.04%), and Chattanooga city (29.10%).
