According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census for West Virginia counties, in April 2020, among all of West Virginia's cities and places (towns and villages) with a population of at least 10K, Beckley city had the highest percentage of its population that identified their race as Black or African American Alone (19.74%), followed by Martinsburg city (15.59%), and Charleston city (14.78%).
