According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census for Rhode Island counties, in April 2020, among all Rhode Island counties, Providence County had the highest percentage of its population that identified their race as Black or African American Alone (8.14%), followed by Newport County (3.32%), and Kent County (1.89%).
