According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census for Tennessee counties, in April 2020, among all Tennessee counties, Shelby County had the highest percentage of its population that identified their race as Black or African American Alone (51.34%), followed by Haywood County (50.56%), and Hardeman County (40.04%).
