According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census for Texas counties, in April 2020, among all Texas counties, Jefferson County had the highest percentage of its population that identified their race as Black or African American Alone (33.07%), followed by Bowie County (25.03%), and Houston County (23.54%).
