According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all Maine counties, Cumberland County had the highest population density per square mile (362.43 people per sqr mile), followed by Androscoggin County (237.50 people per sqr mile), and York County (213.86 people per sqr mile).
On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest population density (4.24 people per sqr mile), followed by Aroostook County (10.06 people per sqr mile), and Washington County (12.13 people per sqr mile).
