According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all New Mexico counties, Bernalillo County had the highest population density per square mile (582.52 people per sqr mile), followed by Los Alamos County (177.96 people per sqr mile), and Santa Fe County (81.04 people per sqr mile).

On the other hand, Harding County had the lowest population density (0.31 people per sqr mile), followed by Catron County (0.52 people per sqr mile), and De Baca County (0.73 people per sqr mile).
