According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all North Carolina counties, Bertie County had the highest percentage of its voting-age population that identified their race as Black or African American Alone (59.08%), followed by Hertford County (55.81%), and Edgecombe County (55.06%).
