According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among the 50 states and the District of Columbia, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of a state's population who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (40.91%), followed by Mississippi (36.44%), and Louisiana (31.18%).
