Ranking of US States By Percentage of Population that are Black or African American Alone from Census 2020

According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of a state's population who identified their race as Black or African American Alone (41.45%), followed by Mississippi (36.62%), and Louisiana (31.43%).
The chart below shows the top 10, and the table below shows the ranking of all the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on the percentage of each state's population that identify their race as Black or African American Alone.
