According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Shelby County, TN voting-age population of 706,063 people, 50.12% of them (353,883 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, 37.82% of them (267,031 people) identified their race as White Alone, and 4.39% of them (31,022 people) identified their race as Some Other Race Alone.
