According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Illinois voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 70,454 people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 0.71% of the total voting-age population of Illinois.

Cook County had the highest number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population (41,723), followed by Lake County (5,010), and Kane County (4,743).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Hardin County (0), Brown County (0), and Scott County (1).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Kane County had the highest percentage, with 1.22% of its voting-age population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Cook County (1.00%), and Cass County (0.95%).
