Iowa American Indian and Alaska Native Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Iowa voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 10,353 people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 0.42% of the total voting-age population of Iowa.

Polk County had the highest number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population (1,677), followed by Woodbury County (1,638), and Tama County (904).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Audubon County (3), Ida County (4), and Lucas County (5).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Tama County had the highest percentage, with 6.96% of its voting-age population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Woodbury County (2.09%), and Monona County (1.29%).
