Minnesota American Indian and Alaska Native Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Minnesota voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 47,060 people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 1.07% of the total voting-age population of Minnesota.

Hennepin County had the highest number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population (8,661), followed by Beltrami County (5,780), and Ramsey County (3,344).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Lac qui Parle County (9), Kittson County (15), and Murray County (16).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Mahnomen County had the highest percentage, with 36.89% of its voting-age population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Beltrami County (16.62%), and Cass County (8.95%).
