Mississippi American Indian and Alaska Native Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Mississippi voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 11,277 people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 0.50% of the total voting-age population of Mississippi.

Neshoba County had the highest number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population (3,120), followed by Leake County (850), and Harrison County (799).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Sharkey County (0), Quitman County (0), and Issaquena County (3).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Neshoba County had the highest percentage, with 14.70% of its voting-age population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Leake County (5.37%), and Newton County (4.31%).
