Montana American Indian and Alaska Native Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Montana voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 44,531 people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 5.24% of the total voting-age population of Montana.

Glacier County had the highest number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population (6,009), followed by Big Horn County (5,273), and Yellowstone County (4,695).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Petroleum County (0), Meagher County (0), and Golden Valley County (0).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Glacier County had the highest percentage, with 63.60% of its voting-age population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Big Horn County (60.28%), and Roosevelt County (53.20%).
