New Mexico American Indian and Alaska Native Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the New Mexico voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 153,063 people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 9.34% of the total voting-age population of New Mexico.

McKinley County had the highest number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population (40,469), followed by San Juan County (35,457), and Bernalillo County (28,591).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: De Baca County (6), Harding County (7), and Hidalgo County (37).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, McKinley County had the highest percentage, with 76.82% of its voting-age population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Cibola County (41.85%), and San Juan County (39.54%).
