North Carolina American Indian and Alaska Native Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the North Carolina voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 96,726 people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 1.19% of the total voting-age population of North Carolina.

Robeson County had the highest number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population (33,487), followed by Mecklenburg County (4,856), and Cumberland County (4,289).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of American Indian and Alaska Native Alone voting-age population were: Tyrrell County (2), Hyde County (10), and Washington County (21).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Robeson County had the highest percentage, with 37.86% of its voting-age population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Swain County (26.28%), and Scotland County (10.20%).
